It has been produced in 4 generations: the Range Rover Classic, the Range Rover P38, the Range Rover l 322 and the Range Rover l 405. The Range Rover concept of the adventurous SUV is not new. Already in the 1950s British Leyland, even before the Land Rover era, had a project called Road Rover. It was not until 1970 that Land Rover launched the Range Rover to meet competition from the USA and Japan. The various generations of Range Rover were divided into several derivatives. These were the Land Rover Defender, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Velar. The various Range Rovers are powered by petrol, diesel and hybrid engines. Its engines are 6-cylinder or 8-cylinder, and its transmission is all-wheel drive. Its automatic transmission is 8-speed and its power ranges from 249 to 565 horsepower. The Range Rover equipped with a V8 engine is available in 3.5-litre 3.9-litre and 4.2-litre. It therefore has a high-power output which allows it to be equally at home on the road at high speeds as it is off-road or on the open road.
