This is a required part if you want a leak free disco. Its not the only required part but it is a large one. Our disco also needed a speedy sleeve for the front crank seal and valve cover gaskets. Still had a slight leak from crucifix seals and or rear seal but I want addressing those until in need of a transmission or engine removal. Oil pan eas still dry a year later
